David Ruiz has worked in award-winning restaurants in Aspen, Colorado; San Jose, California; Yosemite, California; and Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was inspired to be a chef by the summers he spent on his grandmother’s farm in Northern California. As a chef today, he promotes food education and strives to teach people about the connection between food and farming. He has also been featured on Food Network’s Chopped and Guy Fieri’s Family Road trip. He is also the Founder of 505 Food Fights, a grassroots chef competition that foster community in Albuquerque culinary industry.
